The Shaping Student Life and Learning (SSLL) awards were established through the generous annual donations of alumni, industry, friends, faculty and staff of the Leslie Dan Faculty of Pharmacy. Each year, SSLL funds are available to students at the faculty in support of various activities that enrich the student experience outside the classroom.

A limited number of predetermined awards are available for funding individual students who apply. Applications are reviewed often, and funds are awarded based on the most current Award Descriptions and the available budget.

  • Applications close on April 30th for activities happening during the 2025-2026 funding year (ending on April 30, 2026).
  • Applications for the 2026-2027 funding year (May 1, 2026 to April 30, 2027), open May 1, 2026. For details on funding criteria and awards available, please read the updated 2026-27 FAQs and Award Descriptions prior to submitting your application.  All applications must be submitted three weeks prior to the activity's start date using the online form.  Applications for activities in May 2026 are exempt from the three week deadline but must be submitted prior to the activity's end date.
  • For all 2026-27 International APPE rotations, regardless of when the APPE rotation takes place, students must apply after May 1 and before the deadline of Sunday, May 31, 2026, at 11:59pm ET.
