9. Do I secure a supervisor before or after admission?

Once an application is complete and assessed, applicants are contacted by e-mail to confirm they have met all minimum requirements. Next steps for applicants are to secure a supervisor before their offers of admission are finalized and thus they are encouraged to begin contacting prospective supervisors as soon as their eligibility has been confirmed. Students may also wish to reach out to the Graduate Office if they are unable to get a response from their prospective supervisors, so that the Graduate Office can reach out on their behalf and work with the student to match them up with a supervisor.

An offer of admission will only be granted upon securing a supervisor.

10. How do I secure a supervisor?

Applicants are encouraged to contact prospective supervisors in the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences. The supervisor must hold a Graduate Appointment at the Faculty as well as at the School of Graduate Studies. A list of the graduate faculty members including a brief description of their fields of research is provided here. It is the applicant’s responsibility to contact faculty members to discuss potential research projects.

An offer of admission will only be granted upon securing a supervisor.
