On September 28, Students, faculty, and donors from the Leslie Dan Faculty of Pharmacy came together for a special gathering at U of T’s Faculty Club to celebrate the annual Undergraduate Awards Ceremony.
Each year, undergraduate students from across the Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) program are acknowledged and their exceptional accomplishments celebrated through awards and bursaries generously supported by alumni and donors. These accolades not only honour a student’s academic, professional, and extracurricular achievements, but also provide vital financial support to aid in their academic pursuits.
Dedication to accessible excellence
“U of T’s dedication to accessible excellence sets us apart from our peer public universities in the United States and elsewhere around the world,” said Al-Amin Ahamed, fourth year PharmD student, and past President of the Undergraduate Pharmacy Society.
Al received the Sharon Wells Memorial Award, TD Bank - FCCP Education New Horizon Scholarship, Ontario Pharmacists Association Award, and Kenny Tan Award. “Their support is critical to ensuring we are able to attend the top pharmacy Faculty in Canada regardless of our financial circumstances.”
Thank you to alumni and donors whose shared mission is to nurture and empower the pharmacy leaders of tomorrow.
Congratulations to all award recipients!
