The Leslie Dan Faculty of Pharmacy is pleased to announce Brandi Cambray as Assistant Professor in the Teaching Stream (Contractually Limited Term) effective July 1, 2025.
Assistant Professor Cambray graduated from the University of Toronto’s Leslie Dan Faculty of Pharmacy in 1998, earning a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy. After years of dedicated community practice at Shoppers Drug Mart, she pursued a Master of Science in Health Professions Education from the University of Glasgow in 2022, where her dissertation focused on entrustable professional activities in Canadian pharmacy education—a reflection of her passion for evolving pharmacy training to meet contemporary practice needs that influences her teaching.
“I go into every teaching experience hoping my enthusiasm for the profession of pharmacy will shine through,” said Cambray. “A career in pharmacy doesn't look the same for everyone. For some, it is hospital practice, for some it is research, for some it is education, for some it is industry, for most it is community…and there are many more paths.”
Since joining the Faculty in 2014, Assistant Professor Cambray has played a crucial role in educating students on clinical decision making, preparing them to practice to the fullest of their professional scope. During her time at the Faculty, she has acted as Lead Clinical Instructor in Medication Therapy Management (MTM) 3 and course co-coordinator for MTM 4 in the PharmD program, as well as course co-coordinator for Clinical Skills for Medication Management in the International Pharmacy Graduate (IPG) program. In her new role, she will continue preparing our students for clinical practice in the Three-Year PharmD program.
“The role of the pharmacist is rapidly expanding in the Canadian health care system, and I look forward to contributing to the evolution of pharmacy education to keep up with these changes,” said Cambray. “It is an exciting time.”
Please join us in congratulating Assistant Professor Cambray on her new appointment.
