Interdisciplinary collaboration is essential to the success of all scientific ventures. In June, Leslie Dan Faculty of Pharmacy’s 2023 GRIP symposium focused on celebrating this theme, with dynamic talks from a variety of researchers, entrepreneurs, and students. With over 150 attendees, this student-run event showcased the diverse work of graduate students at the faculty, and highlighted the partnerships between our CSAP and BMS streams.
This event would not have been possible without the contribution of some amazing guest speakers, who took the time out of their busy schedules to share their experiences and knowledge with the faculty.
A huge thank you to Dr. Farah Husein and Dr. Béatrice Séguin, Ph.D. for their truly insightful talks, as well as to Dr’s. Alán Aspuru-Guzik, David Uehling, Mays Alwash, Giovanna Medeiros Schver, and John-Michael Gamble for participating in a riveting hot topic panel on the life cycle of a drug.
Thank you to the GRIP organizing committee for their dedication to the success of this event. A special thank you to Pei Zhi for heading the committee and fostering an event based on Building and Belonging: the Importance of Interdisciplinary Collaboration in Pharmacy.
