Job Description

Pharmacy is located in a medical building. Current pharmacy does ~30 Rx a day, opened Monday to Friday, 9-6pm. If interested in more, please apply!

Job Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Providing patient care in dispensary with duties such as: processing and filling prescriptions, documentation of clinical programs such as pharmaceutical opinions and immunizations, answering phone/fax in a professional manner
  • Abide by approved prescriptions, duties and responsibilities as per the Ontario College of Pharmacy regulations
  • Assist in preparing compliance blister packaging and simple non-sterile compounding
  • Monitoring of site refrigeration temperatures and reporting any variances directly to the Pharmacy Manager
  • Pharmacy opening and closing duties
  • Create a healthy learning environment for students on site
  • Inventory management including ordering and receiving of drugs and supplies
  • Assist with general over-the-counter inquiries
  • Assist with cashier responsibilities as required
  • Maintaining a clean and organized work environment

Knowledge, skills and experience

  • OCP Pharmacy Pharmacist license
  • Experience in working in the community pharmacy industry, including third party billing issues
  • Self-starting and independent, as well as strong motivation to succeed
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Computer proficiency (Fillware or Kroll)
  • Reliable, punctual, and responsible
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Professional and strong customer service skills
