Job Description

The Junior Producer will work alongside the Leslie Dan Faculty of Pharmacy communications team to develop unique multimedia content for the @UofTPharmacy social media accounts and Leslie Dan Faculty of Pharmacy websites. The Junior Producer must be a current Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) student at the Leslie Dan Faculty of Pharmacy.

Highlighting the pharmacy and pharmaceutical sciences student perspective, the Junior Producer will work with the communications team to pitch, produce, shoot, edit and share multimedia content across Leslie Dan Faculty of Pharmacy platforms. 

Representing our student body, the Junior Producer must be comfortable appearing on camera.

The communications team is currently looking for two (2) Junior Producers to join the team.

Job Requirements

The Junior Producer will be responsible for producing 5 content pieces over 13 week term. The role will require approximately 2 hours of work per week, totalling 26 hours over 13 weeks.

  • Current Doctor of Pharmacy undergraduate students
  • Proven experience developing and sharing multimedia content for Instagram and TikTok – personal or business accounts
  • Proficiency with content creation tools embedded within Instagram and TikTok and video/ photo editing apps (SCRL, Canva, CapCut, InShot)
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite is an asset, but not a requirement
  • Strong oral communication skills
  • Comfortable interviewing others and appearing on camera
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Active user of social media
  • Access to a suitable device for producing multimedia content (smartphone or camera)
