Madelynn Micks (née Hannah) earned her BSc from Queen's University in 2016 and her Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from the University of Toronto in 2020. After completing a hospital pharmacy residency at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH), she practiced as a Clinical Pharmacist there until 2022, focusing on the Emergency Department, General Psychiatry Units and Medication Safety.

To expand her clinical, research, and teaching skills, Madelynn became the inaugural Paediatric Psychopharmacology Fellow at The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids) while pursuing a Master of Science in Pharmacy (MScPhm) degree at the University of Toronto from 2022 to 2024. During this time, she established a clinical pharmacy service for paediatric patients with mental health and substance use disorders and conducted a qualitative research study exploring how psychiatric medication information is portrayed on the social media app TikTok.

Madelynn has since returned to CAMH, where she currently works as an Advanced Practice Clinical Leader (Pharmacy) and Clinician Educator jointly at CAMH and at the Leslie Dan Faculty of Pharmacy. She also serves as the Pharmacy Education Coordinator at CAMH and is responsible for organizing pharmacy student rotations and supporting preceptor development. Her teaching and research focuses on mental health and substance use disorders.
