OPEN Summit 2023

CALL FOR ABSTRACTS

Researchers involved in pharmacy practice research across Canada are invited to submit abstracts for live, virtual oral presentations at the 2023 Ontario Pharmacy Evidence Network (OPEN) Summit, co-hosted with the Centre for Practice Excellence at the University of Toronto.

Presentations can address new research findings or in-progress research focused on one of the following streams: 1) Digital Health Technology and Virtual Care in Pharmacy; or 2) Pharmacists’ Evolving Contributions to our Health Care System. We encourage research submissions that include a tangible impact or relevance to policy and practice.

This Call for Abstracts is open to all individuals and groups across Canada, including trainees, new investigators, and practitioners. This event will bring together researchers, educators, policy makers, healthcare professionals, knowledge users and trainees to learn about current pharmacy research and to engage in discussions about improving pharmacy practice and primary healthcare across Canada and globally.

Submission requirements:

  • Title of presentation
  • Name, affiliation, and email address(es) of presenter(s)
  • Names of co-authors
  • Abstract of up to 300 words describing the background, purpose, methods, results (if applicable) and conclusion

Timelines: Our Call for Abstracts has been extended! The Call will now close on Monday, January 2nd, 2023 at 11:59PM EST. Presenters will be chosen by an abstract review panel and notified by mid-January 2023.

Summit Dates:  Tuesday, February 14 2023 (Digital Health Technology and Virtual Care in Pharmacy) and Thursday March 16 2023 (Pharmacists’ Evolving Contributions to our Health Care System) from 1:00pm-3:00pm EST.

Location: Zoom (links to register will follow)

Submission: Abstract submissions should be submitted via REDCap here or below.

Other: Please note that pre-recorded presentations will not be accepted; all sessions of the OPEN Summit will be hosted live.
