Dear Students, Faculty and Staff,

Yesterday the University announced it will require all those intending to be present on our campuses be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

As explained in the announcement, all members of the U of T community will need to attest to their vaccination status, using the UCheck system. Those who are not vaccinated due to medical or personal exemptions will need to participate in the university’s rapid screening program, use at-home kits twice weekly and have a negative result 72 hours before coming to campus. They may also have additional public health measures required of them.

Proof of vaccination will be required for certain high risk activities including experiential education rotations. We will share additional information on this process over the coming weeks.

Please take the time to review the following announcements to stay informed on these important updates:

Vaccines remain one of the best ways to protect yourself and others from the dangers of COVID-19 and I encourage all members of our community to become vaccinated. Should you have any questions about this requirement, the University has recently updated the FAQ section on the UTogether website and information about vaccine requirements can be found under Section 5.

We will continue to keep you updated as we plan for the start of the academic year in September.

Sincerely,

Lisa Dolovich
