Welcome to the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences at the Leslie Dan Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Toronto.
Pharmaceutical Sciences encompass all aspects of the development, delivery, distribution, utilization, and economics of therapeutic treatments. Our undergraduate and graduate programs provide a stimulating and internationally recognized environment for education and research delivered by our world-class PharmSci faculty.
Our Undergraduate Pharmaceutical Chemistry Specialist Program leads to a BSc degree from the Faculty of Arts and Science. It provides multidisciplinary education in the physical, chemical, and biological sciences that underlie the development, manufacture and formulation of medicines. A Professional Experience Year at a pharmaceutical company or research institute is available to qualified students. Graduates from this program are ideally prepared to work in the pharmaceutical industry, enter MSc or PhD programs, or pursue a professional degree.
Our Graduate MSc and PhD programs provide rigorous training and research in a range of scientific disciplines defining the Pharmaceutical Sciences. Graduate students have the opportunity to participate in a wide variety of collaborative programs and Research Centres at the University and Faculty. Internships are available for students interested in gaining experience in pharmaceutical and biotech companies or in global health placements around the world. Our graduates pursue various career opportunities in industry, government, and academia.
Undergraduate students interested in research at the Faculty may also participate in the Undergraduate Summer Research Program.
