Course Codes – Examples at some Canadian universities – for admission in September 2018

Click here to access a PDF document listing examples of acceptable course codes for admission in September 2018

The table accessed through the link above provides examples of the known courses, or combinations of courses, which may be used to meet eight of the specific subject requirements for the PharmD program for the 2018 admission cycle.  The table includes listings for all Ontario universities (including all three University of Toronto campuses) as well some non-Ontario universities.  Note that due to the large number of post-secondary institutions we cannot list all institutions. You may meet our academic requirements by attending any recognized university.

While we endeavour to keep up-to-date on changes in course offerings there may be omissions. We have left some former course codes for the benefit of prospective applicants who may have graduated several years ago. Updates may be made to these listings as new information becomes available.

In addition to the subjects you see listed on the table remember that the following courses are also among the subject requirements:

  • One term of English (Literature/Composition) at the university level is also among the subject requirements but is not included in the table as there are a very wide range of courses that are acceptable.  Click here (Additional Information about Subject Requirements) for details, or click here for a table of examples of introductory level English courses.
  • Two terms/semesters of Humanities/Social Sciences at the university level are also among the subject requirements but none are listed in the table as there are a very wide range of subjects that are acceptable. Click here (Additional Information about Subject Requirements) for details.
  • Physics is also among the subject requirements but is not included in the table as it is required only at the Grade 12 level.  Click here (Additional Information about Subject Requirements) for details.
