Placement Requirements

  • Successfully completed all academic requirements through winter of Year 3 by the time of travel
  • Priority will be given to students who have successfully completed ‘Global Pharmaceutical Policy’ elective offered in the fall of 3rd year and/or enrolled in the ‘Global Health’ elective offered in the winter of 3rd year
  • Successfully passed screening interview (OEE/Global Health) – usually held from November – January each year
  • Complete Safety Abroad Requirements (  Students must complete the requirements at least 2 months prior to departure in order to be eligible to proceed to the placement:
  1. Safety Abroad Workshop (
  2. Safety Abroad Database (
  3. Sign and submit Waivers Consent and Release from Liability and Terms of Participation in Internationak Experiential Placements Form & submitted to Lucy Gabinet in the Office of Experiential Education (Rm 843)
  4. Obtain Supplementary Health Insurance
