Professor Reina Bendayan Elected as Member of AAPS Executive Committee

Professor Reina Bendayan was recently elected as a member of the executive committee of the American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists (AAPS). AAPS is a professional member-based organization of approximately 9,000.

Reina will serve as a Member-at-Large and her term of office will take effect at the 2017 AAPS Annual Meeting and Exposition, November 12–15, 2017, in San Diego. The meeting anticipates an attendance of over 6,500 pharmaceutical scientists from around the world.

“I am deeply honoured to be elected to the Board of Directors of the American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists,” said Bendayan. “I will strive to advance the society in order to fulfill its mission and achieve its goals.”

The AAPS executive council serves as the corporate board of directors for the association and is responsible for the financial health of the association and ensuring that all programs and activities are in accordance with the association’s vision, mission, and values. Members of the Executive Council also serve as liaisons to AAPS’ sections, task forces, and committees.
