Global Pharmaceutical Research, Education & Policy

Students at the Leslie Dan Faculty of Pharmacy have the opportunity to experience pharmacy within a global context. We offer student experiences in global settings that empower pharmacy trainees and graduate students with the knowledge and experience to make a difference in healthcare on a global scale, and promoting healthcare policies and practices that aim to improve patient care and access to medicines.

The Faculty offers undergraduate and graduate courses for students interested in pursuing careers in global health, as well as opportunities to participate in global health research. Students also have the opportunity to obtain firsthand experience through internships – front-line healthcare, healthcare policy research, etc. – in settings across the globe.

The Faculty has forged strong collaborations and partnerships with global health organizations (WHO, UNITAID, Pharmacists Without Borders, among others) and various faculties, departments, and programs within the University of Toronto community (Munk School of Global Affairs, Collaborative Doctoral Program in Global Health, Dalla Lana School of Public Health, Institute for Global Health Equity and Innovation, Centre for Integrative Medicine, and Toronto Addis Ababa Academic Collaboration, among others).
